NTPC Solapur initiated a 15-day long "Swachhata Pakhwada" campaign from 16th May to 31st May 2024. The campaign aims to promote sanitation and cleanliness while eliminating the use of single-use plastic. The initiative started with the administration of the Swachhata Pledge by Shri Bipul Kumar Mukhopadhyay, GM(O&M), in the presence of Shri VSN Murty, GM (Project), Shri Naveen Kumar Arora, GM (Maint.), and Shri Parimal Kumar Mishra, GM (Operation), alongside senior officials and employees at the Administrative building.
Encouraging all employees and their families, Shri Bipul Kumar Mukhopadhyay emphasized the importance of cleanliness and sanitation and urged everyone to refrain from using single-use plastic in their daily lives.
Following the pledge, various training sessions were organized for senior management and housekeeping personnel, focusing on topics such as ‘Drainage to Diamond’ and ‘Garbage to Gold’ to promote a sustainable environment.
Over the course of the 15-day program, various activities and cleanliness drives are planned in adjacent areas to support Mahatma Gandhi's vision of a free, clean, and developed nation.
